Answer Below:
Research methods can be Godly This depends on the perspective and beliefs of the person. Although God almighty wants us to gain and grasp more and more knowledge and the best method to gain wisdom is to research. It helps in making decisions regarding the facts and information one has regarding any situation in our lives. Knowing various aspects of life one can make sound decisions and judgments. There is a scripture that backs the statement. In Psalm 32:8-9, God tells us, "I will guide and teach you the right path; I will advise and protect you. Don't be stubborn like horses or mules that need bits and bridles to be controlled. “This implies that research is an important aspect in terms of acquiring the knowledge to understand their life's purpose. Another scripture that states research methods can be godly because it helps us to discover the creations of God and his will for us. In Genesis 1:1-2 – The heavens and the earth were created by God. The earth was shapeless, empty, and covered in darkness, with the Spirit of God moving above the waters (eddusaver.com, 2023). Research methods can be ungodly Research methods can also be ungodly because it challenges the existence of God and his miracles. This can also be considered blasphemy by looking for proof of God's existence. Also, the research methods are often considered unethical and immoral which contradicts the preaching of God. In Genesis 2:17, God said, "Do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for if you do, you will definitely die." Some people may see this verse as a warning against seeking knowledge that goes beyond what God has allowed or intended, and that doing so can lead to sin and death." Suggesting that trying to find out what god has hidden is forbidden. And in Timothy 3:7 - Always learning but forbidden from the knowledge of the truth. Some people may use this verse to criticize research methods that are based on human reasoning or speculation, and that do not lead to the truth of God’s word or gospel. This is enough to tell that research methods can also be ungodly (openbible.info, 2023).
