That applied the same color tone of the product itself, which is black and green, with an intractable module whereby we can engage with the product in 360 deg. When compared to other websites that provide the same product for a few dollars less and have a whitish tone, particularly while looking for a washing machine, the lighter background of a website highlights the product for better viewing. Similarly, the Apple website has a bright white tone to their website that includes their product too, which made it difficult for me to stay on the website since it was quite boring. Another observation for mass selling platforms like BestBuy, Target, and Walmart should provide equitable importance to all the products rather than focusing on one product and marketing it. I believe it depends on the customer preferences, for me if the cost was the primary focus, then I would not mind how well the website displays it to me while at the same time sticking to some of the well-established brand names in terms of reputation they hold in the marketplace; while other factors include filters, buffer speed in accordance with the availability of the application, ease of creating an account (for Xbox it was a hassle to set up an account). Some of the other factors include the reachability of the store, delivery proximity, service in terms of refund, return, and installation, and how well they make use of social media to reach out to the target audiences in terms of discounts and offers. I would try to understand the target customer preference and what draws the majority toward a particular website since when the pricing factor is tapped into, then the customer segment will compromise on the aesthetic values; since the primary goal of the customer is quality at an affordable cost.More Articles From Operation Management
