Considering the previous job experience, it was a logistics-related firm that implemented several new goals and objectives to cope with the impact of e-commerce post-covid to improve the brand equity and stay ahead of the competition; one such objective was to deliver the products before the dates that were displayed to client in order to build customer loyalty; however, the firm received backlashes from this objective since the internal stakeholders were not able to cope with the changes brought in, it cast burden after implementation of 2 weeks the firm experienced an increased burnout rate, employees were demotivated to work for the same salary structure while experiencing increases working load and office time. Due to the increased complexity of the goal and the time when it was implemented, when the employees were starting to work after the work-from-home pattern was practiced for a year during covid and suddenly adding more pressure on them, they were not able to sustain the change in workload environment that resulted in negative consequences on all the stakeholders. Some of the employees were competing with each other in order to meet the demand trends while causing increased traces of employee conflict with an outcome of the toxic environment. While on the other hand, considering the strength of the goal, it was drafted at the time post covid that gave the firm a jump start ahead of the competition; it was aligned towards the objectives, considering the SMART elements this particular goal was in accordance with the relevancy factor in order to meet to the market trend. Considering the theory of MBO, some of the recommendations in this scenario would be to assess the performance efficiency and capability of the internal stakeholders in order to understand what specific goals need to be drafted in accordance with the capability by including the team members or employees in the planning it will establish an open and inclusive environment in order to have an open forum to receive and share the diverse insights such that the firm can also obtain various ideas on how they can draft the new intervention without disrupting the existing the capacity of the firm or the production process. In a scenario when I have the authority to communicate the interventions with the manager, in accordance with SMART objectives, I would want the firm to achieve two objectives at the same time  one being establishing an inclusive environment with the internal stakeholders while at the same time train the leaders to practice servant leadership so that whenever the change interventions are implemented, the firm can reduce the internal change resistance.
