Answer Below:

Introduction United States had emerged from virulent, intense and inhumane scenario of civil war that evolved within a new nation during that era. The transition was culmination for political, economic, social and cultural movement that transformed the nation. Transformation of Southern society and Enactment of progressive legislation favoring rights of freed slaves had been two prominent and debatable issue of the time. One question that arises here is whether north pushed many rights for African Americans? The second question that arises here is that, why Southern state legislature has abolished slavery within constitutions? In the history of US reconstruction had two meaning where first one is history of country that was between 1865 to 1877 then civil war was next for transformation of South United States between 1863 to 1877 as directed through congress with construction of state and society. The study for Reconstruction era for South might appear free of vexing issue of definition that beset much historical topic. Reconstruction had discrete historical process for reintegrating the former confederacy within American nation. Historical Debate The process started with Union captured territory within confederacy concluding compromise after disputed election for the year 1876 that marked restoration for home rule through Southern whites 1 . The civil War had allowed the US to make changes that were important to unify the country. Moreover, it started one of the most transitional period during US history. Such era, the reconstruction had brought much political, social and economic change that were beneficial and disagreeable. The structure had various issues, laborer were almost African American who had 1. Sokov, I. A. "Review of New American Studies on the Civil War (1861–1865) and Reconstruction in the USA (1865–1877) for 2019." SCIENCE JOURNAL (2020): 225-239. 3 nothing to buy tool that they would require to buy from landowners putting them within debt and making it difficult for them to be independent 2 . African Americans turned American citizen and arguably were the development of Reconstruction. Only a decade before Supreme Court ruled within Dred Scott decision during 1858 that people of African descent imported within US and held to be slave or descendants whether or not they were slaves can never be citizen for US. Black Southerners did all with the power to speed the evolution for northern attitudes. Conclusion The reading has changed and improved my way to understand the concepts as it was understood that because of freedom of African American and South’s ever-growing hatred towards the group, African Americans were left to suffer harsh discrimination and horrible situation. The issues that were present in reading are still relevant as African Americans were left despite home, education, job or any money. Reconstruction had been an attempt for trying and bringing confederate states back to normal uniting both parts together. In present scenario also African Americans are not in a secured situation and are facing racism on daily base. Tackling a current national or global issue in this era would be possible with prior reading of history as it is our past that teaches one to learn from mistakes. Reconstruction was only set to protect and help newly freed African American assimilate the new society with foreign economy they placed in. 2 .Rogers, William Warren.
