Question.467 - Topic 4 DQ 1 According to the Bible and the Christian worldview, Jesus was fully God and fully human. Interacting with the readings, especially Philippians 2:5-11 and Hebrews 1:1-3, explain why this teaching of Jesus's full divinity and full humanity is important to Christianity.
Answer Below:
The teaching of Jesus's full divinity and full humanity is important to Christianity because it gives the basic foundation for faith. As the Bible teaches, Jesus was born completely in the human form (flesh of sin) and being totally divine. Even though he had divine powers while living between human beings, he chooses to serve them by being honest and become an ideal soul who taught human beings to love, care, have faith in others. Jesus is referred to as a great teacher and healer who sacrificed his life for the better life of humans. This shows that God was willingly born as a human while retaining his divinity. One thing that I personally inspired is from the teachings is how to forgive others or our sins. All these teachings are necessary for each stage of a Christians. Also, this says this is only possible for God to be born as a human who has sinful life and die in the end while we human beings only look for ways to extend our living period. More importantly, these teachings give a basic understanding for human life to make a better life and serve Gods plans and full fill ones lifes purpose.More Articles From Philosophy
