Question 1: Strategically required organizational outcomes The four strategically required organizational outcomes for Siemens are: 1. Development of systems that allow effective diversification of products and services. 2. Managing its diversified workforce which is extremely critical for the growth and development of the company. It has identified that human resource management would be considered as one of the most important outcome in its organizational goals. 3. Effective team building and competencies development exercises which would allow the company to build and sustain a diversified and motivated workforce. 4. Creation of learning environment in the company’s culture so that the company is able to survive and sustain its growth in cutting edge technologies that it currently operates in. Question 1 part 2: Required workforce competencies Siemens who considers its human resource as one of the most critical factor for its success is desirous of development of the following competencies in its workforce: 1. Learning and development: The Company intends to develop the zeal of learning and knowledge within its company’s employees. This is to be carried on with the goal of making the company a leading brand in knowledge driven industries with the work of its workforce. 2. Teamwork: Since the company is managing operations across various industries and functions, teamwork is an integral aspect for its workforce competencies. 3. Unified corporate identity: Siemens intends to develop a unified corporate identity among its diverse workforce which is present across a number of nationalities and culture.
