Question.998 - What do you remember regarding Chi-Square (pronounced "Ki Square"), or have you ever heard of it as a statistical technique? Have you ever used it? What do you think it is used to analyze?

Answer Below:

Yes, I heard of the statistical method known as the Chi-square test. Data that can be categorized or grouped is examined using the chi-square test. It is frequently used to establish whether there is an important relationship or correlation between two categorical variables. The test compares the observed data frequencies across categories with the expected frequencies under an independent set of factors (Zhang, 2005). The test statistic known as the chi-square statistic, abbreviated as (chi-square), is calculated using the chi-square test. To check whether there is any relation between the two variables using the chi-square test, we will look at the p-value. Suppose the p-value is less than the significance level. In that case, we will reject the null hypothesis and conclude there is no relation between the two variables by comparing observed and expected frequencies.   The chi-square test can be employed in various activities, such as social sciences, market research, medical research, and various research fields ( Vornhagen et al., 2020). It can be applied to multiple tasks, including survey data analysis, demographic relationship analysis, determining the independence of two categorical variables, determining how well-observed data fit an expected distribution, and more.    References   Vornhagen, J.
