Hello Class! Situational variables are the aspects that are necessary for creating an effective workplace. Situational variables are, task structure, leader-member relations, and position power. In task-motivated leadership, leaders are effective in situations that are not under control and also smooth. Similarly, relationship-motivated leaders are favorable even in conditions that are not under control or under control. As per my experience, I can say that task motivated leaders can work well when tasks are defined clearly in the workplace. Task structure gets mostly affected in such situations.
