An unconventional leader takes a few more steps than an average leader. They focus on establishing elements that people or team likes, but competition is common between unconventional and conventional leaders. They redefine the workplace works to create a flexible environment for employees. According to Eric Romero, the co-founder of Steve Jobs is a better example of unconventional leadership, who did not seem like an emblematic leader in the business world (Romero, 2014). This is because the background he came from which was contradicting those backgrounds the most successful or ideal leaders come from. He did not finish his graduation and also had no education in management (Romero, 2014). This is why Eric predicts that Steve could have been an unconventional leader who contributed to creating an unconventional firm. This different style of Steve Jobs brought success to the company. He always tried to find a way to create distinct products for customers that competitors do not deliver. He escalated mediocrity from the workplace and supported excellence. Also, he never settled even if the companys business was successfully grown because he expected his business to be the best. The autocratic leadership type best explains his leadership personality. The resources provide evidence that Steve Jobs had an eye for detail and always chose to work with like-minded people. On the other hand, he had a defined and clear vision of his business, and he was truly passionate about what he was doing (Northouse, 2013). Some of the characteristic elements that I learned from this person are never settling when following the passion or dream, if we are running a business, we try to provide the best service as much as possible.
