Question.1694 - Do you see streaming services as eventually replacing cable/satellite technologies?
Answer Below:
The larger amount of reliability that the modern generation is showing towards the use of streaming services has eventually minimized the use of conventional cable or satellite technologies. Additionally, the rise of streaming services such as Netflix, Apple TV and others has developed a set of issues for traditional technologies that were used earlier for entertainment purposes (Chalaby & Plunkett, 2020). Modern users require services that comply with their needs in a convenient manner, due to which streaming services are gaining more attention, thereby replacing cable or satellite technologies. Hence, this infers that traditional ways used for entertainment such as cable and satellite are witnessing a higher degree of loss with the eventual rise of streaming platforms that offer new and unique sets of entertainment programs.
