About Us Take My Online Class

Question.620 - As you approach your Project Three submission for this course, it is important to think about your strategy for making your presentation to stakeholders. Your goal is to make the decision process easier and more efficient for those stakeholders. Review the Planning a Presentation graphic from the HBR Guide to Persuasive Presentations and think about how you will address each aspect of the presentation-development process. In your initial post, focus on the conceiving and visualizing segments and address the following: How are you going to craft your story with your audience in mind? How are you going to illustrate your story and stay relevant?

Answer Below:

Presentation plays a crucial role in informing, motivating, and persuading internal and external audiences. It is one of the most important tool to send an important message through the power of words, images, and statistics. As Nancy Durate, in her book, "HBR guide to persuasive presentations" (2012) informs the importance of presentation, the author also mentions three key strategies while presenting: presenting, visualizing, and conceiving. While presenting, it is essential to understand the impact of the presentation. As my audience are the stakeholders, I need to present the data proactively to provide them with enough evidence for the organization's diversification requirement—the importance of diversification and its impact on the business and its revenue. I will present the data through the present state of the new industry and provide a comparison of the need for diversification. How are you going to illustrate your story and stay relevant?  The audience plays an essential role while preparing for the presentation. It is hard to make decisions if the audience is a faceless clump of people (Duarte, 2012). As it is mentioned, the audience is the company's stakeholders, so it is crucial to have a clear and concise presentation. "Long presentations with a big reveal at the end do not work for them" is an essential catch, so I need to stay relevant to the story by presenting important data through a chart and incorporating explanations to the chart. At the same time, I must provide essential data and remove unessential data that will help the audience to understand the message quickly (Soomo web text, 2020), for example in the present industry, I would provide them with data on the sales of electric vehicles compared to conventional fuel which will give them an important hint for the need to diversify. I will try to add on clear visuals to better understand the information.   References:  Duarte, N. (2012). HBR Guide to Persuasive Presentations. HBR Guide Series.
