Hello Class! Today, social media has become so popular by playing a huge role between brands and consumers. The social media platform in influencing consumers involves promotions, influencers, content, and offers. Once a product comes out, it first goes to get viral on social media because today almost all people across the world use social media. They not only have social media accounts but also use them throughout the day. Compared to other advertising media, social media has become most important to marketers because consumers get more attracted and influenced by the product or service which has got more views, likes, and shares. If they have any doubt about the product, they go through other people's comments and that changes their attitude towards a product or a brand. Marketers promote their brand with available offers and gifts which attract their targeted consumers. Such strategy of organizations comes from the study of psychology, behaviors, and motivations of people (customers). I believe social media influences consumer engagement with the brand because of the instant response they receive from the marketer for their queries. Even Scott Elser says the same that sellers get the ability for real-time interaction with consumers in the digital marketing world (GCU Academics, 2018). Social media has made it easy for customers and marketers to buy and sell the products or services respectively. Social media also influence consumer decision-making. For instance, let us say a friend has received a good product or a satisfying service, he/she will share with others. In the same way, others will influence by the good reviews of that person and such good reviews make an impact on others decision-making about a product that is to buy the product or not (Sema, 2013). However, this social media is also kind of an officer for markers because if they get any bad reviews from customers in series, it will spread in a minute across all other customers.
