Answer Below:

Discussion The title of the film is “The Queen of Katwe” that has been written by William Wheeler and directed by Mira Nair. Some major actors in the movie are Madina Nalwanga, Lupita Nyong'o, and David Oyelowo and it was released in 2016. The chosen film is a biographical drama movie about Phiona Mutesi who was a teenage girl from Ugandan slums and becomes an international chess champion after motivated by Robert Katende, a dubious mentor, who was a war migrant turned preacher. The plot of the chosen film represents the human spirit in which a Ugandan teenage girl sees her world is changing quickly after her introduction to the game of chess (Tallerico, 2016). Living in the Katwe slum within Uganda was a continuous struggle for ten years old Phiona and her family. Her world started to change one day after she met Katende, a preacher who teaches kids how to play chess. She develops a fascination for the game and quickly became a top player under the guidance of Katende. Phiona’s success in local tournaments and competitions opened the door for her bright future and a golden opportunity for escaping from poverty. The action in the film is presented chronologically implying that the movie has properly shown the sequence of events. Similar to other movies, some drama and additional scenes have been added for dramatic impacts, however, overall, the sequence of the dates of the events was accurate. The elements such as foreshadowing or character development have been influenced by the choice of storytelling techniques since these components facilitated extremely enjoyable and relatable interests for the audience instead of allowing it for accuracy.   References Tallerico, B.
