Answer Below:
Hello, professor and everyone. I currently live in Bakersfield, California, and two weeks back, we experienced a mild heatwave warning on the mobile application I use daily. However, in the news channels - the alert was not intense, but the heat felt while going out was pretty strong. The news channels asked us to stay hydrated, keeping the children, older people and those with medical conditions, including pregnant women, to stay less exposed to heat with ample amounts of water intake and electrolytes. Along with hydration, I was wearing lighter and breathable clothes. I avoided workouts during the mid-day - I kept it around early mornings or late evenings to avoid excess heat. In a couple of days, the upcoming weather warning would be a severe thunderstorm - for which I will carry a set of rain suits and avoid cycling to work or college. I also plan my days accordingly (whenever I have to meet clients) so that rain doesn't interrupt the flow of work. Inside my house, I move the plants away from windows and porch so that it is not impacted by rain, and unplug unnecessary wires (those connections that I will not use frequently) along with curtains shut during lightening.
