Kafkaesque nightmare event This was an incident told to me by my sister, and it's certainly scary. It was a couple of years back when my sister and her three friends were traveling down south, they had to stop at the suburbs to refuel the van, a guy stood behind the van for a long time. They locked the van and went into the store to get a jerry can for reserve. As they were hitting the early night with bats starting to creep in; the town seemed ghosted with very few people; although such an event was common to post covid due to the fear of the virus, this was a very unusual silence. They filled the van and hit the road; they might have crossed around 8 miles, then came a wetland forest road, the van started to seize, and they were forced to stop. As my sister stood on a puddle of watery substance and told her friends they flashed in some phones at her feet; it was a trail of fuel from the under-belly fuel pipeline; it was sliced, a clean cut. None of the phones picked a single bar of the network to reach out for help; they experienced a gusty wind that passed by them, the entire forest seemed quiet, and none of the bats were clicking anymore, a strong ball of light passed us into the forest with a creaking high pitch noise as though a giant was dragging a train carriage into the Forrest. As they taped the pipe, and as soon as they could and used the reserve from the jerry can to refuel it again, and fled to the nearby forest ranger to report the citing, they were asked to leave the area, and the ranger left the station into the forest. My sister still cannot figure out how it all happened, was the ranger in for a dollar cut from the stolen items? Was all this planned? Nobody knows. It was a Kafkaesque nightmare event that had happened to her around two years back.
