Answer Below:

I visited the McNay Museum. The painting I selected for the discussion post is called "Milking Time, (Echo Farm, New Hampshire); the painting just caught me with its uniqueness and exquisiteness. The artist's name is William Zorach, and he developed this painting in 1917. The picture is done with oil on canvas. This piece of work is considered an Abstract Art; I was impressed with the use of geometric shapes, shades, and colors. The main shape that dominates the complete picture is Triangle. This art form can also be called Cubism, as they bring different views of subjects together in the same picture, resulting in paintings that appear fragmented and abstracted. The artist has used quite a bit of triangle in his pictures; the one that stands out is the Triangle arising from the sun, which represents the sun's rays and creates a beautiful canvas of colors. The principles of design that stand out in this painting are the use of shapes to make the painting two-dimensional. With each shape the painting looked differently, it radiated different shades of the same color. Putting significant importance on the Sun makes the triangle color look what it is. https://collection.mcnayart.org/objects/7166/milking-time-echo-farm-new-hampshire (Links to an external site.) 2. I visited the Royal Museum of the Netherlands or the Rijksmuseum in Europe. It is home to the world's most beautiful paintings. The artwork that I would like to speak about is "The love letter". The painting was created by Vermeer, one of the famous painters in the 17th century. It is a painting done on oil canvas. The measurements of this painting are the height of 68.5 cm × width 62.5 cm × thickness of 7 cm, and weight of 9 kg. The painting has details, from the lighting to the expressions of both the women in the painting. It showcases about two women, a maid, and a woman. The maid bought a letter to the lady of the house. This, however, conveys an essential message that us a lot about women living in the Netherlands during the 17th century, many of them could read! https://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/my/collections/3339287--frank77gld/vermeer/objecten#/SK-A-1595,0 (Links to an external site.) 3. I visited the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in Japan. The museum has all the different art collections from traditional Japanese screens to modern art. It is a one-stop destination for all the modern arts. Carlos V. Francisco's  "Progress through education", is a painting done with oil on canvas. The dimension of the painting is width 324.8 x 263.5 cm. The painting was done in the year 1964. The painting projects the importance of education. The painting is done pragmatically where  edges of the canvas are filled with spirits of the dead. Images of ignorance and faithlessness, all being banished through the spread of education. The painting is colored in lighter shades, there are different colors that are mixed well to get a proper view of the painting. https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/progress-through-education/HgGET7Rplz_ZYg (Links to an external site.)   The painting in the Royal Museum of Netherland and the painting in Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in Japan have a common literacy theme. Even though both the paintings are set in different time periods, they promote an important message on education. The first painting offers important information on women's education while the second painting imparts crucial information on the modern Philippine independence movement. While a woman is teaching her son how to read and write.
