Answer Below:
Tesla is committed to promoting workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion (U.S. diversity, equity and inclusion report 2020). Regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, handicap, or any other protected status, they are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Tesla reported that its US leadership team was made up of a total of 72% of white personnel, 4% Black, 4% Hispanic, and 25% Asian (Shalvey, 2020). Tesla's fundamental values strongly emphasize the significance of fostering an inclusive and varied culture and promoting a climate of cooperation and respect. They are dedicated to fostering a culture that supports and celebrates individuality and promotes learning and development for all. Diversity would be a priority when hiring new candidates. It is important to have diversity in the workforce to develop a culture of inclusion, respect, and collaboration. Diversity in the workplace also leads to better decision-making, increased innovation, and improved customer service. When considering potential candidates, I would put diversity as an important factor in my decision-making process. I would aim to create an inclusive environment for the employees to work in which everyone is respected and valued regardless of background, gender, age, ethnicity, etc. Diversity would be an important consideration, but there are others. When hiring, I would also consider the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skills. References: U.S. diversity, equity and inclusion report. Tesla. (2020, December 4).
