Question.3082 - Have you ever negotiated with a seller? If so, what strategies did you use for negotiation? Did they work? Share your experiences and discuss your strategies.
Answer Below:
Negotiation Strategy Negotiation is a common tool nowadays used by a common person each and everywhere to save money or buy a better deal in the same amount specified by the seller. Here I am describing my own experience of using negotiation strategy to get a better deal. I want to buy a new car. Firstly I found the dealers selling those cars, their price quotation, discounts, and other benefits. I understand that the knowledge about the product and what are the main features I want in the product, investigating about the product and the persons selling it is very important. Secondly I kept in my mind that the other person will ask more than what he expects to get. Never say yes to the first offer made by the seller. So as you are surprised or uncomfortable listening price, seller will surely make changes in the deal. Therefore I decided my price lower to seller’s quotation. Thirdly I realised that we learn at every opportunity and practice makes man perfect. Keeping all this in my mind I cracked the best deal. I was offered 4000 USD by the seller but with the help of my negotiating strategy I bring him to 3500 USD and apart from this I received free accessories, and will receive 5%cash back if I refer the dealer to my friends.
