Money is no object, and you may design this for any age level/discipline. How large should it be? What types of spaces do you want to utilize? What all do you need/want in the space? You may create this design however you wish. You can submit a drawing (attention to detail matters - be neat), or you can use an electronic program (Excel, Word, etc) as long as you are able to submit the finished product here. After creating your sketch/model, write and accompanying paper that outlines the decisions that you made in creating the model. In other words, why did you choose the rooms that you did, sizes of the rooms, layout, brands of the items, etc.? What classroom materials would you request (e.g. storage cabinets, podiums, etc)? Again, this is your ideal space so go all out! ***If you are feeling particularly up to the challenge, there is a free computer program called Sketchup with which you can create a 3D model of your ideal music cuite. You can access the Sketchup Free web-based program at www.sketchup.comLinks to an external site.. If you choose not to use Sketchup, that is fine, just please ensure that your design is clearly labeled and easy to understand. Sketchup is a tool that has been around for about 15 years and is very popular in the "maker" community.
